I camped in the bush just north of Dunkeld, VIC last night. Woke to a drizzly grey morning, totally overcast, with a blue-grey mist settled over the tops of the Grampians. Then, as I drove north along the valley towards Halls Gap the sky to the north looked to be clearing. By the time I neared Halls Gap the sun was shining and I could see blue skies ahead. The early morning sun shines yellow and gold on the sandstone buttresses that line the hills west of the road. Wallabies and emus feed on the side of the road. Now I'm having coffee in town and listening to Elvis Presley! Strangeness.
