As I am writing at my table at Rainforest Camp in Kutini-Payamu (Iron Range) NP listening to
Bach's Air from Suite No. 3 and looking though the filtered green light above the creek, aUlysses Butterfly ... large as a small bird ... and such a brilliantly blue colour flits and dips above the water, following the line of the creek. I vaguely fancy it moves in time to the slow, measured emphasis of the wonderful music. The butterfly moves on but the strains of the music still fill the air. The ground all around is covered by a deep layer of leaf litter and the occasional gusts of wind move the trees and so many leaves and tiny flowers fall onto my tent they sound like the first drops of a rain shower. Some of the leaves twist and twirl to land on the water and are carried slowly downstream.
